Pavenet Limited was appointed by the London Borough of Wandsworth to deliver highway access improvements serving the Kersfield Estate. The project involved the construction of new bellmouths to improve access and safety for the Rosbury, Spreewell, and Essington residential apartment buildings. All works were carried out within a live residential environment, with a strong focus on safety, accessibility, and minimal disruption.

Site Setup & Traffic Management
Site establishment and temporary traffic management,

Trial holes to identify existing services and confirm ground conditions
Civil Engineering & Highway Works
Removal of existing kerbs and excavation to formation levels,
Adjustment and resetting of utility covers and frames,
Installation of D400 and FACTA D recessed covers where required,
Installation of new conservation kerbs,
Construction of reinforced concrete slab foundations
Surfacing & Finishing
Installation of tactile paving to improve accessibility,
Block paving and modular slab paving to footway areas,
Asphalt milling and resurfacing to carriageway,
Application of thermoplastic road markings
Pedestrian Management
Remaining minor repair works were completed using localized footway barriers not exceeding 2 metres in width. This approach ensured continuous pedestrian access at all times, with final works completed within one working day.
The project was delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Wandsworth Council standards. The completed bellmouths provide improved access, enhanced durability, and a high-quality finish that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding streetscape
