Pavenet Transitions to Class 3 Orange Hi-Vis for Enhanced Safety and Compliance
Pavenet is proud to announce a significant update to our health and safety practices: all operatives working on highways will now be issued with Class 3 orange high-visibility (hi-vis) clothing, replacing the previously used Class 3 yellow garments.
This transition is part of our ongoing commitment to aligning with industry best practices and ensuring the highest standards of safety for our teams working in high-risk environments.
Why the Change?
The decision to switch to orange hi-vis wear follows a comprehensive review of current guidance across the highways and infrastructure sectors. Orange is increasingly being adopted as the standard colour for road and rail environments due to its enhanced visibility against the grey and natural backgrounds commonly found on highways and construction sites.
Key Benefits of Class 3 Orange Hi-Vis:
-
Improved Visibility: Fluorescent orange provides excellent contrast during both daylight and low-light conditions.
-
Compliance: Aligns with safety expectations from national infrastructure clients and aligns with Rail Industry Standards (RIS).
-
Enhanced Safety: Offers maximum protection for our workforce in high-speed traffic zones and areas with limited visibility.
Pavenet remains dedicated to continuous improvement and proactive risk management. The adoption of Class 3 orange garments reflects our focus on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service across all our operations.
A Safer Future, Together
We’d like to thank all our team members and partners for their support in this transition. As always, safety remains at the core of everything we do.
