“Dont just talk about building the wall….start laying the bricks!”

The site was in urgent need of attention, with existing barriers and pathways that were no longer fit for purpose. Our solution included the construction of a retaining wall to replace an outdated steel barrier, along with other enhancements to make the area safer and more visually appealing. The scope of work also included clearing the site, upgrading the footway, and installing new curbing.

Retaining Wall Installation

  • Safer, More Attractive Barrier: We constructed a new retaining wall to replace the steel barrier that had become a hazard. This not only created a much safer environment but also provided a more aesthetically pleasing design that better integrated with the surrounding area.

Site Clearance

  • Fly-Tipping & Vegetation Removal: Part of the project involved clearing the site of debris, including the removal of fly-tipped waste, overgrown vegetation, and a tree that was no longer suitable for the space. This created a cleaner, more organized area, ready for further development.

Footway Reconstruction & Curbs Installation

  • Upgraded Footway: The footway was fully reconstructed using asphalt, providing a smooth, durable surface for pedestrians.

  • New Curbing: We installed new curbing adjacent to the carriageway to improve both the appearance and functionality of the footway, ensuring better delineation between the road and pedestrian areas.

While smaller in scale, this project significantly improved both safety and aesthetics. Replacing the steel barrier with a more secure retaining wall, alongside clearing the site and upgrading the footway, has transformed the area into a safer and more functional space. These improvements also enhance the visual appeal of the site, making it a more welcoming place for residents and visitors.
