Pavenet successfully delivered civil engineering and highway improvement works at Hogs Bridge in Maidenhead. The project involved specialist pavement construction, drainage installation, kerbing, masonry, and pedestrian safety infrastructure, completed in line with industry and highway standards.
Pavement & Concrete Works
Installation of HB2 pavement construction, laid straight and curved
Placement of in-situ concrete (Grade C20P) for kerbing, channelling, and edging
Completion of formation and sub-formation on acceptable material
Kerbing, Weirs & Edge Restraints
Installation of stone, granite, or PCC kerbing,
Construction of kerb outlet weirs, including shaped mouthpieces to suit half-battered kerbs,
Installation of kerb weir systems,
Copings applied to stone and brick walls.
Brickwork & Masonry
Construction of brickwork using Engineering Class B bricks in Class 1 mortar,
One-brick-thick walls,
Associated blockwork and masonry works.
Drainage Works
Installation of drainage and sewer systems to standard detail specifications,
Connection of new drainage to existing catchpits,
Excavation works in paved areas for drainage installation.
Pedestrian Safety & Street Furniture
Installation of pedestrian guardrails,
Additional excavation in hard material to support guardrail foundations.
Earthworks & Site Clearance
Excavation of acceptable and unacceptable materials, including hard material where required,
Disposal of excavated materials to a licensed waste facility provided by the contractor,
Clearing of existing ditches and general site preparation.
The completed works improved pedestrian safety, enhanced drainage performance, and strengthened the overall infrastructure around Hogs Bridge. The project was delivered to a high standard with a focus on quality, safety, and durability
