The Holyport roundabout is a crucial part of the local road network, and our client wanted to enhance the area with a more modern, accessible, and efficient design. The project involved the reconstruction and realignment of the roundabout, as well as the creation of a shared pedestrian and cycle path to improve accessibility for all users. Along with these additions, existing services and utilities needed to be carefully repositioned to accommodate the changes.

Roundabout Reconstruction & Realignment

  • New Roundabout Construction: A new roundabout and associated islands were carefully designed and built to support the updated traffic flow and align with the revised road network.

  • Road Realignment: To accommodate the new design and improve traffic efficiency, we realigned the road on all approaches to the roundabout, optimizing flow and reducing congestion.

    Shared Pedestrian & Cycle Path

  • Path Construction: One of the key features of this project was the construction of a shared pedestrian and cycle path. This new pathway ensures safer, more convenient travel for both pedestrians and cyclists, helping to create a more sustainable transport environment.

 Obstruction Removal & Site Clearance

  • Clearance of Obstructions: To make room for the new design, we removed various obstructions, ensuring there was enough space for the pathway, roundabout, and associated features.

 Utility Relocation & Service Adjustments

  • Repositioning Utilities: Existing services and utilities were carefully repositioned and adapted to fit the new layout. We took great care in minimizing disruption while ensuring that the utility changes were made safely and efficiently.

Vacuum Excavation for Precision

  • Clean, Precise Excavation: To achieve the necessary results with minimal disruption, we employed our vacuum excavator for precise, clean excavation. This technique allowed us to move earth and relocate services without damaging surrounding infrastructure, resulting in a more efficient and safer process.
